Task: Plan For Delivery Centre Set-Up

Few engagements may include establishing a delivery centre as a part of their scope. The Technology And Infrastructure Lead must plan for end to end setup of the delivery centers including movement of the required technical environment, infrastructure and logistics needs, security requirements, etc.

In case the scope of the engagement includes establishing a delivery center, the Technology And Infrastructure Lead must:

Plan for infrastructure : This will typically include planning for
- floor space required for the datacenter
- equipment (e.g. racks, temperature control equipment, security equipment, etc.)
- communication devices, laptops etc.
  This planning may need to initiate procurement process to purchase the above
Plan for movement of office furniture
Plan for technical environment of the datacenter. This would include:
- planning for all infrastructure components (servers, databases, network switches etc.)
- planning for movement (lift and shift) of these components
- planning for partitioning and configuration of the components
- plan for go-live of the components
Develop a test plan for testing all equipment in the data center.
